How does my system get installed?
There are many steps to installing your system, from site surveys to permitting, inspection and interconnection. Haven takes care of managing your entire install from start to finish.
Once you're approved for an SGIP rebate, we can start your installation process (even before funds have been issued). Here's an overview on the SGIP application process.
How your installation works:
- Project kick off. Our operations team receives and reviews all your information provided and gets to work planning your installation.
- Application. When ready, you'll sign the final documents for your SGIP application to the state.
- Plans + permits. Once your application is approved, we'll draft and submit design plans for county permits.
- Installation. We'll arrange delivery of your materials, then mount and wire your system and setup inspections to make sure it meets local code.
- Activation. Your system will be granted "Permission to Operate" and you will enroll in your utility's Demand Response program, officially connecting your system to the electrical grid. Hurray!
As a reminder, we cannot guarantee that you'll receive a system unless you're approved for an SGIP rebate by the state. If you're not approved, we cannot move forward with your project.
Haven is a top-rated installer and certified SGIP developer, and we'll make sure your system is installed with complete care and attention.
New state rebates and incentives offer a chance to secure low-cost or even no-cost solar and battery systems. In California, for example, eligible homeowners can receive a free system through the SGIP program.
