How long does an installation take?
The installation of your solar panels and home battery system typically takes a few days.
The installation of solar panels typically takes 1 to 3 days, depending on the size and complexity of the system. Your battery installation will take several hours. In most cases, the installation can be completed in less than a day.
Once you're approved for an SGIP rebate, we can start your installation process (even before funds have been issued). Here's an overview on the SGIP application process.
How your installation happens:
- Conduct a site survey of your home
- Draft engineering plans for your desired system
- Get local permitting for approved plans
- Arrange material delivery and plan your install around your schedule
- Installation day! This includes system onboarding, learning to use your battery's app, and setting your system to perform according to your preferences.
- Coordinate an inspection by city, once system is operational
New state rebates and incentives offer a chance to secure low-cost or even no-cost solar and battery systems. In California, for example, eligible homeowners can receive a free system through the SGIP program.
